Semilong Services recently had the pleasure of partnering with The Redbrick Day Nursery on a very special project. We were approached to see if there was anything we could do to restore a much-loved playhouse, one originally built by a grandad for his family many years ago. The playhouse had been passed down through generations, filled with memories and laughter from the children who grew up playing in it.
Now that those children are grown, the family wanted to find a new home where it could continue to bring joy to others. They were delighted to know it would live on at a nursery where many more children could enjoy it for years to come.
When the playhouse arrived, it was clear it had seen better days. But with a bit of care, creativity, and a fresh coat of paint, our team was able to restore it to its former glory. It now takes pride of place at The Redbrick Day Nursery, ready to inspire imaginative play and outdoor adventures once again.
With a strong focus on nature, the environment, Forest School activities, and outdoor learning, The Redbrick Day Nursery provides a nurturing, safe, and stimulating space where children are encouraged to explore, be curious, and discover the world around them. We’re proud to have played a part in preserving a little piece of family history and turning it into something that will continue to spark joy for many more generations.
